There is a right side is history and a wrong side of history. The right side will nearly always be the one siding with the disenfranchised groups of people being terrorized by those with coercive power.

I think I get the idolation of Luigi. It's about accountability for things we know are wrong. If the law didn't allow actions that hurt society and there was jail for that behavior, people would be celebrating a person being put in jail instead. Not wrong to feel at the very least mixed feelings.

That works in a world without racism, overt or otherwise. In a world with racism, there is the need to compensate for that factor.

The rapid departure from DEI is "virtual signalling" for "the right". Inclusion is a value and we express our values through our actions. I like supporting those that share my values. I hope others share my perspective and companies feel the impact of their choices.

So tariffs make bringing products into the US more expensive for suppliers. Why would any supplier take the hit rather than raising the prices proportionally? Might encourage purchasing domestic? Maybe, but the costs for tariffed goods will certainly be higher no matter the source. #tariffsaretaxes
