some people even straight up posted their artist+ codes publicly as a "first come first serve" kinda thing which was INSANE

hopefully over time they can find a way for artists to be able to give each other a hand via referrals while not letting bad actors/unvetted people in....maybe requiring a small submission form for codes to be activated? unsure

yeah vgen recently put out a PSA about not abusing the artist+ codes system: a lot of the problems this past year have been due to an increase in codes being given away without the giver actually vetting the person they're giving the code to, which defeats the purpose of the referral system TT

i often want to get together a little art stream group that does the same art study/exercise together every couple of weeks on stream, co-working style, but then i think about doing art studies/exercises and go "wehhhhhh" /lh

if you want to use it frequently as a tool, you can buy premade shapes to apply to curves! but it's really easy to make the shapes yourself and apply them to a curve as well

esp since i only ever do it for an initial reference i really do go for Just a Tube no texture ABDIISFJSIFI
