Sweat Hearts, a 4-panel comic. Panel 1: Gelle and Huely are seen having burgers and fries at a small table. Gelle brings a fry to his mouth when Huely begins to confide to him. “Gelle? Do you think I sound gay?” Panel 2: Huely’s body language shifts. Appearing more insecure. “Not like—I don’t just mean the way I talk about things. I think your voice is SO rugged and smooth like a cigar wrapped in leather and sandpaper. I just worry that I might sound unattractive to you.” Panel 3: The view shifts to a closeup of their meal as Huely continues. “But, that’s not fair for me to say. Not about you, me, or anybody. Words have power, so it doesn’t really matter what I think my voice sounds like—It’s how I use it!” Panel 4: “Thanks for talking this out with me, Gelle.” Huely relaxes, smiling at his lover. Gelle holds a seasoned fry up to Huely’s mouth, grinning at him before relaying a playful quip. “And I think your voice sounds like french fries. Wrapped in cotton candy.” —— Many of us may not like the sound of our own voice. Whether it’s the one inside or outside. How we decide to use use and even control it is what truly matters. You might not like your voice now. But I hope that one day you find yours.

oh, the characters look more defined than the bg, so I had the impression you did some sort of blur or other filter effect on the background.

Stunning work! How did you filter out the bg? I think it was intentional to make the characters pop more.
