Early models had terrible issues with brake balancing; the rear end would swing around under heavy braking. That’s how mine (a Pontiac Phoenix) was totaled - no injuries but a wild ride in the rain.

When we turn on the shower, our cat will run into the bathroom, put her head in the opening to the shower (a sliding glass door, not fully closed for her benefit!), and then, when (probably) a single drop of water hits her head, she shakes her head and runs off. Every single time.

Jeez, not a twin bill? Were I on that neighborhood I’d have a hard time deciding (and yes, I’ve seen you two on a twin bill, many years ago - what a great show).

That was, I think, my introduction to your writing. Thank you for this, and for all the rest.

Quite a few of the texts my partner and I send to each other are variations on a picture like that and the text β€œI have a kitty.” Case in point:

Looks like they pulled it quickly, and acknowledged their mistake in letting it through their QA process.

Nancy’s Diner in Columbus OH. North of OSU on High Street. Five bucks got you lunch, but it was what they decided to make. Might be hot dogs and baked beans, might be full-on turkey dinner. Get your own damn coffee, and make your own change at the register.

Nice… I shot yearbook and newspaper photos with one of those (or a Canon AE-1) in high school.

Who has the time to watch that much video? I just worked through the 99PI β€œPower Broker” recap podcasts this fall while walking to and from work. Probably twenty hours’ worth. (Fascinating and delightful, but ya gotta read the book first, a journey in and of itself.)

Patience. Try to pick out the β€œamateur shoppers” who only go out to {Costco, Target, the grocery store, etc.} once a year, and avoid them.

In related news, Costco has sliding drawers for cabinets that are high quality and a reasonable price. We just installed eight of them in the kitchen - a game changer!

As a minimalist film camera, it’s held up wonderfully. My daughter used it in HS when she took a photography class, and it was at least thirty-five years old at that point.

I got β€œBuy Nikon.” from my friend and fellow HS photographer Ron. Maybe that’s where it all went wrong. I bought Pentax and, later, Canon.

It’ll be nice when it’s finished. The Montlake crossing certainly is, but it took a while.
