How I arrived on Bluesky
04.03.2026 08:25 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Big pale dude in black armour and black and grey clothing. His face is hidden by a masked helmet. Heβs mid swing with a great axe and thereβs a dash of blood on the blade.
5 pal figures. 2 flanking are both masked great axe warriors, the other 3 are a huge topless guy with beard, woman with ribcage corset and iron crown and 2 children. All have blood on their mouth.
Another Vivamort cultist. Heβs one of the cults guard dogs, mortals who serve in the hope they get bit one day and become a vampire. Love the dynamism on this guy. All but the kiddos are @fenrisgames.com sculpted by @mad-elf.bsky.social

Absolutely disgusting!
I love it.
Egyptian Basenji poised and alert. Brown and white with a tightly sprung tail.
Whatβs that Lassy? Timmyβs fallen down a well? Screw him, he egged my house at Halloween. Howβs that for a trick you little sod?
Egyptian hunting dog from Dark Fable. Retiring soon so get βem while you can. Sheβs sidekick to a hunter Iβm painting.

Seems like Terminators have grown a bit in size since I last painted one back in 1995

24.02.2026 16:55 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 04 very pale figures, one in armour, 2 small children, a big muscled bearded guy, woman with black crown and ribcage girdle. Everything is black or grey, the only other colour is red.
Armoured guard with great axe. The face is covered and there is blood on the blade.
Another member of the Vivamort vampire cult. This oneβs a guard, a mortal initiate who serves in the hope one day theyβll become an immortal acolyte. I think when the 4 guards are together with the antlered leader theyβll look spectacular. From @fenrisgames.com Dark Fable and Barbaric splendour.

Hereβs my newest piece of needle felted terrain, around 30cm square! Lots of wool, lots of sharp needles going into fingers and a fair bit of unladylike language :-) I really love making these!

Aargh, it's been too long without any hobby progress now so I thought I'd share some WIP photos of the Wolf Guard I'm currently painting (at a glacial pace). Bodies are more or less done - on to arms and heads!

30.01.2026 11:46 β π 44 π 6 π¬ 0 π 0The song is great but the episodes were a bit meh. Lots of untapped potential lore-wise. Clearly they are technologically advanced, and seem to be a last remnant of a lost Gummi civilization, living in the ruins of a great city. What happened? Why was this never explored in the show?

23.01.2026 22:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Shadow and Flame - the Balrog
I find that black is the most difficult colour to get right, especially on "hard" surfaces like a Space Marine. I tried painting Black Templars and it just didn't work π I'm pretty happy with how my Balrog turned out though - organic shapes are easier (because you can drybrush them!)

Haven't painted in a few days, but when I sat down for a session last night I discovered that my old Russ Grey (left) had undergone some kind of weird alchemical reaction and separated the pigments and started to clot. No amount of shaking turned it back to normal. Had to get a new one (right).
