This new way of AI writing is so tiring on my eyes. Why the need to break up related concepts into:

Three sentences.

Full line break.

Sentence.

Full line break.

One word.

Full line break.

Sentence.

Do they not understand paragraphs? This bite size stuff doesn't stick to my brain.

Whyyyy, when I have literally five generations worth of accumulated inherited stuff to sell, do I get excited to go to a thrift store and potentially find something interesting? Is this why I have five generations of stuff to sell? Were all my ancestors acquisitive thrifters?

Eye exam today, with dilation. Catching up with all of my health things I put off to take care of Mom.

The eye exam is covered by Medicaid, but the glasses are not. I can't wait to see how far prices have risen for those.

I haven't been on Bluesky much lately, my mom needed a lot more care at the end of her life, which happened in early January.

She was often upset by the news and felt powerless to do anything. She feared for our future. Rightfully so. She would be absolutely appalled at what is going on now.

I'm not sure which milestone is more funny. Do I do a virtual shot on the 21st and then drink a *Dirty Boomer at 55?

The news cycle is tough for me lately. There are a lot of statements and videos that I simply cannot watch, or old trauma might consume me.

I'm in awe of the bravery of these women. Someday, maybe I will tell a story with names attached. I'm not yet ready, or may never be.

My house has several layers of history. This ancient grocery conveyance method was found under my basement stairs, left there around 1965.

This happened to my grandmother, thankfully before 9/11 so she didn't have to see any of... This.

She lingered for months in a partial coma. It was awful watching her fade. I like to think I'm the type of person who wouldn't wish this kind of end on anyone.

HOWEVER...

I'm different now. Jaded.

It was a slightly more textured experience, but the newspaper was readable!

Morning newspaper landed in the birdbath, but my parents still want to read it. I set up a clothes drying rack outside in the sun, to hang each completely soaked section. We'll soon see if this is a poor plan.

I really hope cats are the next intelligent species to rule this planet. They probably can't make it any worse 😸

Sadly, I have trust issues, so I won't believe it until the money actually deposits into my account.

Over the counter at Costco... 100 lancets and the pen to use them was $3.01 🤯

I am incandescent with rage that she's been paying so much for diabetic testing supplies. The prescription system is broken.
