COVID broke something deeply fundamental to society - the idea of shared communal responsibility; every reaction since quarantine has been a rebellion against that responsibility.

I don't have ADHD as far as I know but I resonate with some of my ADHD friends who actually work better if they're multitasking (ie I work better if I'm listening to something...but there's a sweet spot of the task being sufficiently autopilot-y without being too braindead or else my mind wanders)

i read a lot of books via audiobook these days bc i autopilot for a lot of the work i do day-to-day but my worst habit is spacing out and having to rewind to listen to a specific part, but then spacing out again and again and rewinding it like 10 times like what is wrong with me!! ten times?!?!?
