Creature Feature: Spinosaurus Mirabilis

A group of Cadian Astra Militarum miniatures, equipped either with meltaguns, medic gear, or plasma pistols and power swords. The models are in various unfinished states, neither fully assembled or painted.

Got a fair amount done on these lads and ladies today. Also decided to add the 2 unpainted sergeants I had to this batch, to even out this wave of reinforcements and the next.

Well, here she is! The Big Bad Giganotosaurus! One of the largest carcharodontosaurids! roughly the same length as a T. rex and sometimes longer!

They were not generally as heavy or as robust as T. rex, but they had a very fast, deadly bite with serrated teeth! Great for heavy bleeding!

The late Cretaceous theropod Carnotaurus! It had tiny vestigial forelimbs. It's well known feature were the two horns over each of it's eyes, a feature unseen in any other carnivorous dinosaurs. This one has a light beige skin tone with brown striping on the tip of it's tail, it's thighs, over it's forelimbs and over it's eyes and horns. It's underbelly is a pale creamy color. It's destintive markings include a baby blue marking on the lower jaw and hints of the same blue on the undersides of it's small forelimbs.

Today's dino is actually a revisit to the very first one I drew in this style back in '24, the late Cretaceous theropod, Carnotaurus! Ended up doing it in the same colors :). I stuck with some features of the original style but went for more realistic proportions #CapsDinos #Paleoart #Dinosaur

Cuttlefish Guys!! This limited edition batch has a coloration inspired by the Flamboyant Cuttlefish. They’ll be coming soon to my shop as a part of the Ocean Guys collection :)

Whipped up a quick little grot, felt the base needed something extra and a boss should have helpers. Just a little more detailing/weathering and I'll call this project done.
