Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7 is on a motor cycle at night. From the top, the franchise's logo has Cloud's name, his birth month and day, as well as the expected start time of the advertised stream. The hope is to kick off at 9pm, EST. This stream dedicated to Cloud's birthday is being hosted by Stygian Stilettos Gamer, and will have both Ria Alexanders (me) and Loony Poundcake as guests.

From the top, the franchise's original logo has both Cloud's name and birthday, August 11th identified. Under the logo is a quote from "2000 Gil to Become a Hero" stating "...this was something he wanted to do of his own free will." Around him are mean words used against him when he was a child. "That Menace to Society" and "the Weirdo" were commonly used against him. The announcement is for Ria Alexanders' video essay detailing Cloud's traumatic origins. The video will cover Cloud's early life up to the Nibelheim tragedy.

So I have some credits where I list my sources, even the music and background sounds I've used. But underneath the credits is essentially an end credits scene that I worked super hard on. I maaaaaaaaaaay have wasted the effort, so I'm checking to see if it's something I'll continue.

Prepping a Youtube Video to post is it's own all day thing- sheesh!

Had to go in and redo the subtitles, which was hell! Finagling a description that's SEO friendly was another hell of its own. Ugh!

But it's all done and the video is scheduled for Monday. Instead of 6pm, it's going to drop 4pm.

If I wrote it within a decade, then yeah. I can re-read my old stuff. But older....? Nope, My older stuff no longer exists unless I'm compelled to continue the story- at which point I'll revamp/rewrite the older work.

Same. I adored remake Aerith, so I want to go back to that! I have hopes, since I don't believe the devs would want to have her be so polarizing. I just hope whatever they have in mind doesn't come too late for her to be redeemed.

My brother would say "a good character doesn't mean a good person." Endeavor from My Hero Academia is a good character for the plot, but that doesn't make him a good person. I kinda view her like that. I can sympathize, but that sympathy doesn't excuse her actions. Does that make sense?

No arguments here. I'm of the belief that your trauma is yours to manage, and you have no right to inflict that trauma onto others.

A reason is not an excuse, as it were. It makes for a tragic character suffering through grief, which is compelling. But that doesn't make the actions less bad.
