damn i didn't realise how early i got to see it lmao, the director was there too!! they did a Q+A and asked him a bunch of things.

The anime also diverges from the plot of the novels though, so it's a different story to it and the earlier film.

I think it just straight up technically isn't out yet! haha

at least here in the UK i don't think it's release date is until 2026, i ended up seeing it at an anime film festival that swung by near me!

ChaO - 8/10
very fun uuhh... surreal.. comedy.. romance... kung fu... slice of life.. faux-documentary film..? Really gorgeous world, fantastic characters and designs (chao is just, impossibly powerful), really entertaining comedic elements, plot jumped around a bit, but all around fun time.

Very very fun and beautiful action film, some of the background and vista work reminding me of some of bungies best setting work. The plot absolutely felt like it was a plot for an action film, though haha.

wah- i completely forgot to update this with the movies i saw recently-

Chainsawman: Reze Arc - 10/10, fantastic film, gorgeous style and animation work and direction, and voiced by one of my favourite VA's, the action in the second half was genuinely nuts, just a fantastic time all round
