I have this weird case with my Mac where #chrome displays a box or band in a slightly different shade, on an homogeneous coloured page, but only when hardware acceleration is enabled and only on external screens. Taking a screenshot does not show the box or band. Taking a picture with a phone does.

It's always fun to see the origin of a package name.
