Tesla has made it clear that polling for vehicle data is not the path forward. As a low cost offering, Teslemetry is going to have to fully embrace this. Come July 1 the vehicle_data endpoint will be no longer included in subscriptions, and move to pay-per-use.

Teslemetry has a new logo.
The two blue data streams represent the bidirectional flow of information Teslemetry provides, and the negative space forms a lightning bolt representing the Tesla products we integrate with.
The @home-assistant.io Tesla Fleet integration's built in application credential was removed in 2025.1, and has now has been disabled by Tesla.

This week we launched our next-gen API built on @fastify.dev, fully documented with OpenAPI, and with a modular design, which made it easy to implement some new Fleet Telemetry features too.
It wasn't the smoothest launch I've done...

All of these changes will also make their way into #HomeAssistant core eventually, but the process takes time, and that isn't something we have much of.
Come January 1st polling data intervals will be cutback from 20 seconds to 15 minutes, so streaming data is required for a good experience.
Teslemetry is the best Tesla integration for @home-assistant.io, and the recently released version 3 custom integration provides real time data, streamed from you vehicle, for almost every entity.

Today's been a great day, Tesla is going to push back Fleet API billing for a month, add controllable data variance filtering to Fleet Telemetry, discount legacy vehicle polling, and the next generation streaming integration for Home Assistant hit Alpha

Tesla retroactively changed their announcement about the new vehicle_location scope, originally stating no action would be required for existing users. That's no longer going to be the case. teslemetry.com/blog/vehicle...
