I made what turned out to be a terrible error in judgement at @argobookshop.bsky.social yesterday and only picked up the FIRST "Check, Please" book.
"I'll see how I like it," I thought.
What on earth did I think I wouldn't like? Why didn't I buy both books? I was a FOOL.

The sense of excitement in the vaccination location I went to was amazing.

"Love me? WHY?" in utter disbelief is my favourite.

There's a pretty wide variety of interests at Worldcon - there's always some stuff on, say, Renaissance history or Current Research Into Quasars or whatever as well, though usually with a fannish bent.

(I personally have not heard of Leigh Bardugo - I'd love to know more about their books!)

It looks like the best address is registration@seattlein2025.org. Per seattlein2025.org/about/access..., they have a limited number of badges available free to personal aides and caregivers, if you also have someone from outside the con who'd be able to assist you.

Watching last night's Strange New Worlds and I have to say it is nice to see someone be the appropriate level of Utterly Freaked Out by the freaky things.

It's a really good book generally. I was always going to love a book with a moose in it, but the non-moose bits are also top-notch.

"The Terraformers" by Annalee Newitz has a protagonist who is a self-routing-and-driving train. (And if the route isn't fixed, is there a practical difference between a car and a locomotive with no carriages?)
