I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

Am also setting boundaries and decided i wasn’t going to talk about hazbin in places that i didnt feel safe to. Despite being told i could talk about it, just a personal boundary for now. It brings nothing but negativity when brought up and it hurts me these days.

I pointed to the val card on her wall and said “i just wish i could feel confident about loving him without feeing doubt” cuz ive felt this ever since i started loving him. but she said i may not ever feel that way but its about building the confidence and response to hate

My therapist told me today that i don't think i’ll feel 100 percent about loving val without having self doubt because of the hate and i kinda just…accepted that, its just how i handle and react to the hate is whats important. Finding a balance ig?
