Don't mind the #Canucks' selection of Braeden Cootes at all, under the principle that it's never a bad thing to have quality centre prospects, especially if they shoot right.

I can certainly buy your arguments. The key thing for me, though, are those major whiffs when the team could really least afford it.

If the 6x6 number holds true for Conor Garland, it's a contract that will probably return surplus value.

The million-ish raise is covered easily by the cap increases, and one could probably argue that Garland deserved that much of a raise anyway. #Canucks
