Yesterday, my bearfriend @zebursothera.bsky.social was taken off of life support. He left his body at 3:33pm on a sunny but cold winter day.

I was there with his family. I held his hand the entire time. By the time the doctor came in and pronounced, my palm print was embossed on top of Zeb's hand.

The PRS-300 and 350 are the smaller options from Sony, they're more pants pocket sized than shirt pocket sized. The Kobo Mini is similar, i believe. The Boox Palma is cell phone sized.

Sony readers are lovely. I have several, they're relatively user friendly right away. My only caveats with those are you may need to replace the battery since they're all over a decade old at this point, and you'll need Calibre to load them up fully.

I'm reading for the second time with the intent of going through the full trilogy this time. <3

Just got a new Xteink X4 e-reader today. Hopefully this will help me to actually read books rather than bop around on my phone. Two days ago I spent most of my (snowed-in) shift at work reading books on my Sony PRS-300. This is even more portable, so I can actually keep it on me at all times!
