All Saints' was an 11th century Cambridge church that jutted out into the road with its tower on arches. It was taken down in 1865. Demolished more recently was the Cambridge Music Shop to the right of this pathway. It added great character to this area and now gone to provide more college buildings

Another All Saints' Passage, #Cambridge, watercolour and ink sketch with the old Cambridge Music Shop on the right and St John's College visible in the distance. Colour washes are drawn into with a dip pen and highlights provided with gouache. Sold a while ago. See alt text

I love that arched entrance to a designer bar and grill on Cambridge Trinity Street. I'm glad it has been preserved or rebuilt because it became quite dilapidated years ago. Money does have its uses. Next door was Jaegar, now The Ivy Brasserie. All these flashy and expensive places would have been quite alienating to me coming to Cambridge now instead of simpler times in 1974 when pubs were scruffy and cheap.

funniest memory i have in sweden was when i was staying at alfas house and he said 'kristina i have to go, watch the house' and i asked where, and he said 'to the empty dirt lot some ways away from the neighborhood so i can record my shouting lines inside my parked car'
