Quote by Bryan Stevenson questioning if society deserves to impose the death penalty rather than focusing on crime deserving death.
The right to life is inalienable. All human beings deserve the right to life by virtue of their humanity, which is intrinsic and unchanging. No extrinsic quality, such as guilt, can be used to revoke that right.

We need to protect vulnerable unborn children from the violence of abortion, and laws that ban abortion can help us do that. But treating mothers in crisis like criminals helps no one.
Choose life: end abortion and the death penalty.

Fear should never outweigh human dignity, due process, and equal protection under the law.
On February 19, 1942, FDR signed Executive Order 9066, which authorized the military to forcibly relocate and incarcerate over 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry, most of whom were American citizens.
Rehumanize, /rΔΛ(h)yoΝοΏ½omΙΛnΔ«z/, verb. 1. To restore to human beings a sense of selfhood and individuality. 2. To recognize and respect the inherent dignity due to human beings after they have been dehumanized. rehumanizeintl.org
What does it mean to "rehumanize"? How can we work to rehumanize those who have been harmed by violence?

Read our open letter calling on the Trump admin to reinstate federal protections for pregnant, postpartum and nursing women in ICE custody: https://www.rehumanizeintl.org/post/protect-immigrant-mothers
Pro-life leaders gather to protest ICE's detention of pregnant, postpartum, and nursing mothers in a press release statement.
The coalition is urging ICE to restore a presumption of release for pregnant, postpartum and nursing women except in extraordinary circumstances. "Detaining pregnant and nursing women is not a necessary feature of immigration policy. Reinstating protections for pregnant, postpartum and nursing women reflects sound medical judgment and responsible governance,β the letter states.
"An administration that claims to be the most pro-life in history cannot ignore the preventable deaths happening in facilities under its control. If we're serious about protecting life, that commitment must extend to detention centers,β said Lauren Pope, Executive Director of Rehumanize International. The full letter and list of signatories is available at rehumanizeintl.org/post/protect-immigrant-mothers
