yeah, i suppose it depends how they have things set up / what the issue is too. my assumption is that it's probably one of those loadbearing problems where changing it would require a rehaul of other systems, causing it to become a bigger task to tackle, but honestly who knows 😅

The registration cut off is enforced mainly due to how our email system works. Staff will unfortunately not be available to individually let attendees in late during the con weekend. Enforcing this cut off also lessens the likelihood of a raid on our Citrus Con Discord server, or during any of the panels & live events.

yeah!! 100% agree. my OC stuff comes from mass effect so part of me does want to get into that (on tumblr, at least) but also... i like creating for myself at the moment. there's less pressure / obligation to produce stuff just in order to keep up, i think. it's like i can be more intentional w/ it.

oof yeah, i feel that one hard. a lot of my stuff at the moment is contained to offline word or powerpoint documents, instead of social media posts / typical fandom works because i just don't have the energy anymore lol. 'deciding where to prioritise energy' is honestly such a good way to put it

i've tended to float between OC stuff and fandom stuff throughout the years, stepping back from fandom to focus on OCs doesn't mean you'll never return to fandom, yk? i'm definitely in a more OC place atm, and i think that's probably a good thing following jayvik, honestly 😭

i'll add on being fat too, because most of our chronic illness / disability services (what very, /very/ little there is) is blocked by strict BMI limits. so, fat disabled people are quite literally banned from receiving medical care, even if we have a diagnosis that requires it, and left to die.

being disabled, trans, and a nsfw artist in the uk is like... you might as well just take me out back and shoot me at this point idk

they use the definition of 'pornographic content' from the online safety act 2023 which states: '“pornographic content” means content of such a nature that it is reasonable to assume that it was produced solely or principally for the purpose of sexual arousal'.

i might be missing something in terms of what existing legislation on this looked like, but, as if this wasn't bad enough, they've also outlawed the /online/ distribution of nc / bdsm content
