Chart showing how Bsnes has had forks, it itself is version 115, with others being mednafen on 59, C++98 on 85, 2014 on 94, hd on 114, and jgemu on 115. After Bsnes there is Higan, also on version 115, which is available as 106 on LibRetro, and also 106 as nSide. Finally there is ares, on version 147.

I'm not sure if this is correct, but I believe this is a (mostly) accurate Bsnes chart showing the different forks that are available in RetroArch (and ares for completeness)
