Slowly getting more and more into Cyberpunk lore and the Black Star is really taking more definite shape in my head. But I think most of this is still up in the air till I play Phantom Liberty.

Making my first "story" for myself essentially Cyberpunk 2077 fanfiction does have me feeling a little self conscious. At some point I know I'll take the training wheels off and the Black Star is gonna become her own thing. But playing in someone else's sandbox for now is fun.

Ngl, the change to Asuka as the pilot of EVA-03 is when I felt my gut clench, cause on the one hand, yay Toji isn't gonna be hurt (and probably die), but also it's gonna be SOOO much worse for people who know what's coming.

Initially Cyber Polaris/Black Star was inspired by EVA-02 (especially in the face), but I think in reality her body language and behavior has drifted closer to EVA-03. So I guess I'll just lean in on that.

Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0 is a pretty messy movie and I could be critical of it all day, but god do I adore it's version of EVA-03/Bardiel. It's the perfect fusion of animal ferocity and human brutality I find so captivating in the Evangelion.

Oh okay it turns out my writing is a lot better if I go back and do a second draft instead of immediately sharing the first one. Who could have guessed that.

Hello Blair!

I tried, twice, to make an appointment to meet with someone I could talk to about my mental state and seek out support. There's so much going on in my head I'm not equipped to deal with and it stings to be forced to admit that I can't just tough it out. Third time's the charm right?

But since I'm eternally of 2 minds about everything, I know that's nonsense. I know telling myself these things is just chipping away at my own foundations which I've spent the last 10 years trying to build back up. I hate feeling hopeless, and there's a lot of good reasons not to.

I can't help but feel the world is burning down, and I may be sheltered from the worst consequences, but I'm still powerless to do something about it. Trying to have a fulfilling life while the fire licks at the door to my room is a waste of time.

I'm glad people like my drawings and gestures at a story. I always wanted my art to connect with someone and for a while, doing Metroid fanart on twitter, I had that. It was fun. I felt like a real artist. I don't anymore though. So this feels strange now, like clothes that don't fit right.
