Li, a boy in disguise has dragged himself out of a pool. He's dressed as girl in a white dress, with long blond hair and big blue eyes, he has webbed hands, fin ears, scales on his cheeks and fin like wings. His make up is ruined and so is his disguise. He's looking up at the viewer with a concerned face soaked to the bone, worried he's going to be SUPER grounded by his dad. (He probably is.)

He ruined his disguise. And his make up. :( In front of his dad and everything. He's gonna be soooooooooo grounded.

The wig and fins make him look like his mom though. :) She was pretty fairy. (At least in this version anyway.)

#Timelapse time! It's weirdly rare for me to render my own characters in a clean line vector style :'D

[Image 1] Liel, a vampire girl, dressed as a pirate! She wears a red and navy blue uniform and a white dress. Her stockings are striped. Her leather belts and boots are brown. STORY - In this instance, Liel’s undead body doesn’t retain it’s lively coloration. Instead she looks dull and "deathly" all the time. Also, the first time she’s burned by the sun it leaves a scar over her eye. Liel is very sensitive about her appearance, so at first she tries to hide her ghostly blue skin under clothing, and she hides her scar under an eye patch. Later someone mistakes Liel’s strange look for stage makeup. This gives the girl an idea. She finds a theatrical outfit and a cutlass. She spends a lot of time in taverns (Out of the sun because she’s still a vampire), performing skits and singing sea shanties! She thrives on the attention she garners, but whenever someone asks about her undead appearance she claims it’s just a part of her act! She’s a ghost pirate! Which is clearly a made up thing and definitely not a literal undead vampire in disguise!

Vam-Pirate Liel! Just a dif look for her based on a suggestion, I cooked up a little "What-If" story in the alt text.

[Image 1] Mro, a red dragon, is crouched on the ground. He’s bleeding from multiple small cuts on his face and forelimbs. His green eyes are wide, watching a blue dragon that came to his aid. This blue dragon is Lu. She’s bigger than her friend and more muscular. Fire is being conjured in her throat turning it red. She breaths some fire through her snarling teeth. She growls “Don’t Touch him.” To an enemy that is off camera. Both dragons have long horns and manes that match their scale color. Both dragons have earrings as well.

More Dragon Lu~ Dragon-shifter society (in my #AnimalRaiment setting) can be pretty barbaric. In-fighting among clan members is super common, in fact it’s encouraged in some cases. Lu doesn’t understand or like this, and she really doesn’t like it when her friends get hurt!

Her hair is also blue and she has two horns on her head. The dragon-taur holds a tea cup and dish in her scaly hands. She looks confused, like she isn’t familiar with fancy tea brews or porcelain cups.

Giving #Lu a #dragon #form is my way of exploring a "pauper to princess" idea (because dragon powers usually come with noble status in my setting). I've had this idea since 2023 but I'm still figuring it out.

I use this template for my comic pages, which has a much smaller "safe area" than a lot of other comic templates I see. This is due to my history working at a print shop and making a lots of trimming errors, lol. BIG NOTE: I self-publish, if you don't, get a template from your publisher FIRST.
