I've been having a good time in the ZA waiting room doing tons of fun stuff: Archipelago/board games with friends, Hades/Hades 2, got through the first half of Fire Emblem Awakening (just to name a few). Beyond excited to experience my first mainline release live with the Switch PSR community! (5/5)

I've also been taking part in the Season 4 DK64 Randomizer tournament (beta/secondary bracket) and I've made it to the finals! My first match in a Bo3 against OhJustNothing will be on Sunday 10/19 at 1pm PT/4pm ET (and might be featured on the DK64speedruns Twitch channel, TBD) (4/5)

Pokemon Legends: ZA comes out on Thursday! My plan is to stream this pretty much nonstop through Sunday aside from sleep/food/wellness breaks. Going to try to blitz through the game starting Wednesday 9pm PT/Thursday 12am ET and then work on routing the speedrun soon after! (3/5)

we are on step 3 now, excited to learn octopath runs!!! Castti's story is probably my favorite out of the 8 so naturally I had to learn her single story first :)

Simply Switch 2 (a new route) for a solid PB/WR, been working on this one for awhile and glad to nail it on my first run back from SGDQ 🙂

Especially in times like these - it feels invigorating to be able to support an organization like GDQ as an act of resistance. The things people do here create a tangible impact in the world and I'm grateful to have played in the smallest part of it. Trans rights, always. Stomp out fascism, always.

I highly recommend giving volunteering at GDQ a shot (mainline, FF, BIAF, or whatever else pops up) wherever you might feel comfortable. The leads are super helpful and are there to support you in meaningful ways (definitely had a moment of derust panic this week that they alleviated immediately 😅)

Fast forward to this week, where I had the privilege of mixing audio for the Super Mario Maker 2 race (that I hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did!) As a second time volunteer with this being my third in-person event, I can't express just how happy I am to see my GDQ experience come full circle.

One more SGDQ thread as I wait for my flight back: 9 years ago I started watching GDQ events with the Super Mario Maker relay race at SGDQ 2016. I even looked up the courses and tried them out myself (to varying degrees of success lol). I always told my friends that I'd love to go to one someday.

Although I don't have plans to attend AGDQ in Pittsburgh due to some major life changes, I look forward to next year when I can see all my friends again (and hit the double Navigator tech in Citadels iykyk)

Speedrunning Pokémon Scarlet/Violet on the Switch 2 literally feels like playing at 100% after being held back for 3 whole years by hardware limitations. I haven't felt this much joy/elation/relief about gaming in...maybe ever? Really glad to be part of what I hope is an SV speedrunning revival
