I've to admit, there's not been as much progress as I would have wanted. The weekend's been nicer however and I've gotten some more scenes down which has helped with figuring much more of the story out! Shall see how next week goes)

also, ngl, Warfare 1944 rather disappointed me. Sure it was mechanically more complex, and the three lane idea was sound, but there was sth more visceral and satisfying about the simplicity of the og Warfare 1917

i feel a big part of it is because scifi still takes large influence from ww1 and ww2 era aesthetics, especially when it comes to aircraft. Those were much smaller size-wise compared to modern jet aircraft that started emerging in the cold war, and thusly the visuals have stuck in popular perception
