And I think I probably got the better trophy.
Acceptance feels good. She feels peaceful and sturdy. I can respect her and find strength in her.
Happy to have made it Home.
I thought Love was the game I was playing, and that each of those bases were the cost (one I was always ready to pay) in order to win the game- win the trophy. Earn myself the Relationship I was so certain I wanted.
But I wasn’t running for Love, I was running through Grief.
Grief
Apparently Grief has been my companion (my coach, really) all this time, not Love, not Fear.
It all makes sense to me now, in hindsight, here from the dugout of Acceptance. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Sadness must have been the bases I had to run before making it back home to Rest.

Imagine if the rewards of our hard work went back into our communities instead of being hoarded by a handful at the top.

Trump is not for workers.
He wants to give himself and his billionaire friends major tax breaks, and he wants to take working people’s food, healthcare, and housing to pay for it.
Idgaf I’m still fighting for guaranteed healthcare.
Aspiration is the answer. Not just “we’re not the bad guys.”
We need something more meaningful than that. I want a future worth fighting for. They have no vision. We do. Lean into our strengths and knock them out. 👊🏽
