Frankly kernel level anti-cheat has was more in common with malware than anything claiming to be legitimate software should. It is functionally a rootkit and will function as one for anyone in possession of a 0-day exploit for one of the many bugs in them (most cybercrime groups).

It's good to see someone actually making the correct comparison here, ICE do echo the SA not the Gustapo. The latter's role would be more the purview of the FBI probably in collaboration with the NSA or CIA. The secret police were ya know quiet and secretive to fabricate charges on opponents etc.
