Expecting to get pregnant just in time to move to Australia by July. I’ve drawn myself with Souppy frolicking amongst giant spiders, kangaroos, and magpies. (Rendition for Americans) Panel 3: It’s December now and I’m still in the US, having learned a lot about myself. -very low egg and follicle count -not a good candidate for IVF Panel 4: Rest assured, this has been VERY bad for my mortality OCD. Me,, sitting on the toilet, thinking: Period today so gotta track my cycle for next month on my phone it’s been 8 months now and I’m almost 40 can I even have a second by 40 then I’ll be 50 then I’ll be 60 then I’m going to die everyone is gonna die DIE DIE (the thought cuts off) Panel 5: Not sure what the point of this comic is, other than to feel sad and broken and incompetent and that this is the first birthday where I’ve felt genuinely sad because I’m not at the stage in life I wanted to be. Panel 6: Though yes I’m doing so well with my awesome comic that I love that I’m financially capable of having a baby. What an incredibly privileged first world problem for me to have. But I still feel broken and sad, sorry!! Panel 7: Anyway draw my cats if you wanna be nice to me on Friday. I’m just going to be over here unable to have alcohol for the seventh month in a row during a social gathering. Bye now. Panel 8 has a short beat as I stand around mostly off-screen, remembering something else I wanted to say. Panel 9: Have you ever had a hysterosonogram? Worst few minutes of my life!!
