The real answer is that absolutely should *narrow* the distinction, especially when you consider the extent to which "philanthropy" is largely a tax avoidance scheme that deprives social services of critically needed funds.

My take on this has always been that there is and pretty much always been a market for games with dating sim elements/subsystems that doesn't necessarily translate into a demand for games where that's the main or only gameplay available, though I do get why some folks find that frustrating.

I do at least appreciate guys like Aaron Paul and Ben Schwarz who get cast in these roles who seem to at least be motivated to grow into voice acting.

It's especially frustrating when you have a good number of actors who are legitimate dual talents?

Like, Clancy Brown is right there, folks! Kristen Schaal, Matt Berry, JK Simmons, Will Arnett, Amy Sedaris... I'd even include mocap actors like Doug Jones and Andy Serkis.

The A-sides are like that. Sort of a quasi-open-zone approach. The much harder B-sides are much more curated in terms of the path expected of you and the moves required.

That's easily the hardest skill to master, but damn does it feel good when it clicks.

I've long been of the opinion that the best type of game to adapt into a movie or show is the kind that is heavy on character and/or setting but is light on actual narrative (see LoL-to-Arcane as probably the prime example), so you have a canvas to paint on vs just copying.

Just finished my first full TNG viewing after having watched DS9 first and couldn't agree more. I think people really forget how much of the contemporary fondness for Worf and Klingons more generally was a product of DS9 giving them so much more depth.

Only like 5 people will understand this comparison but..
