update! (time sensitive!! !!) after 180 days/6 months, we finally found an apartment! it's a private landlord so we need first months rent, last months rent, and security deposit to move in. urgent!! a 2 day late charge from our last hotel & a $100 security deposit from this hotel went through our bank account at the same time, we now have negative 180$ in our bank account. if we don’t get back in the positives by wednesday we’ll be living in the car. please help if you’re able.

help a disabled person, their mother, and their 3 cats survive after an apartment scam! hi everyone. i'm remaking this post with specifics to hopefully get us some help. my mom and i have been homeless for about 3 months now. we were victims of an apartment scam. we found a place on craigslist, and it turned out to be a scam. we've been living in hotels since then. we did not see this coming as we even had a lawyer look over the lease the scammer drew up. my mother works full time, but it's just not enough with everything we have going on right now. currently, our moving company is holding all of our life's belongings, but they want $4200 total and $1000 for every month we have to store our things with them. we are trying to pay this off so we can have possession of our belongings and move them into a storage center of our choosing, which would be much cheaper. we are also paying for a hotel, as i cannot stay in a shelter with my medical issues. i have a very specific diet and need to eat every 3-4 hours and i need access to a private bathroom as i have to go in and out a lot and can spend longer than the average person there(this is all due to gastroparesis) im terrified we are going to end up living out of my moms car.
