To all the artists creating in these times: thank you. It’s not easy to make beauty, truth, or meaning when the world feels chaotic. Whether it helps you breathe or comforts others, your work matters.

Art doesn’t need to fix the world to be meaningful, sometimes it just needs to exist.

Here are three pieces of life advice for survival under a government that hates you, from a Native. None of them are going to be the prepper bullshit I see currently circulating around- that's all bad advice, by the way, that one's free.

Political Theorists call this shit like "Consciousness building", I call it "Showing yourself that you aren't helpless and they aren't God". You actually need to do this. Just sitting around on your ass doing nothing is a great way to feel like there's nothing that can be done.

I will always be obsessed with the incredibly strong keys in this bow. The anticipation and settling in the animation is also incredible, on top of some of the micro expressions. Also his mouth shape is amazing and articulates really well. GAH! Have I mentioned before just how much I love Justin?

We're so used to being deskilled. Why learn to cook when you've got a microwave. Why learn to sew when you can just buy fast fashion. Why learn anything, when computer can do it for you? Cuz it benefits capital for you to be stupid and helpless, that's why.

It's OUR MONEY. Our. Money.

Every purchase, every paycheck, every year's filing, we pay into taxes. That is alllll a government money is. Our money, pooled in hopes it can be used to better everyone's lives, not to provide a "government handout" to the rich.

Honestly the best and only tip I can give people who want to get others to care about their OCs is to be ten times as insane about them themselves. That's it. You gotta care. Gotta make them and write them with love and feral drive that's a little scary sometimes. The passion will inspire others.
