This is something that should be in the profile section- I’ve spent so much time refilling those dates every year. πŸ˜”

Hey ARC DPers with career interruptions- take a "print screen" of what you enter in your career interruptions boxes- seems like the ARC will never make this info roll over so do your future self a favour if it's a complicated set of dates 😭 (yes I have it saved elsewhere) @arc-tracker.bsky.social

ARC says they’ll announce DECRA and LIEF outcomes tomorrow (Tuesday 25th Nov).

In recent times these announcements have been around 11am Canberra time. With 2 schemes on the same day, I assume they’ll announce one of them later in the day (probably DECRA first).

We just released a new major version of TrackMate (v8), the cell and organelle tracking plugin of Fiji.

It ships many new features, detailed below, but that are articulated around the following:

There's not long left for you to submit your abstract for Signalling Circuits in Cancer!

If your research falls into any of these categories, don't miss your opportunity to be included in this new conference topic.

It’s incredibly disappointing considering the strength in using multiple references to support a statement. It helps readers in the search for supporting information to craft their ideas too.

I contacted the first author. They were very sweet about it. I do understand that flurry at the end trying to get proofs ready. They went from 5 supporting references to 1. It happened to be the incorrect one for what they claimed. Odd over sight- guessing they didn’t read the other paper closely.

15.11.2025 01:41 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Hot tip- when you remove references from your pre print for publication in journals that limit references- make sure the ones you cite *actually* support what you’re referencing…..

14.11.2025 23:43 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Dang, hard disagree. The best papers to write and read are works of art, not merely a list of data and statements.

Don’t let LLMs take this away too, for gods sake.

I love to see the endoplasmic reticulum (ER, cyan) hitchhiking over microtubules (MTs, orange).

Also the membrane dynamics are lovely.

Microtubules provide a mechanical link for YAP/TAZ signalling Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology, Published online: 05 November 2025; doi:10.1038/s41580-025-00929-xA study finds that mechanical activation leads to microtubule rearrangement, facilitating the proteasomal degradation of an inhibitor of YAP/TAZ, thus promoting YAP/TAZ nuclear translocation.
