My therapist literally cited you last night when telling me I don't have to stop infodumping, I just have to find the right people and times. Thanks for modeling that!

1 young froglet with the tail fully absorbed (adult body shape). In this species the organs are visible through translucent skin.

Hyalinobatrachium aureoguttatum are breeding at work and we now have 60 morphs out of the water. They're a lot of work, but I love them so much!!

Went to a protest yesterday. Tbh I went alone (do not recommend), but I got up the guts to talk to strangers & they were great! They even had extra signs to share! Scary but heartening to step out of comfort & see many others do the same! Making plans to bring friends & extra signs next time.

Large black and white lizard sleeping. He has a big black nose like a puppy.

I just had to add one more pic of Garvi sleeping.

For the record, he's chipped and registered with DNR, which all B&W Tegus in GA should be. As an invasive species they pose a serious danger to the ecological balance here, so owners should be held accountable for keeping them safe and contained. He did not mind being chipped at all.

Garviel the B&W tegu is my greatest comfort. Like a scaly weighted blanket. Given the opportunity, he'll usually climb into my lap and rest, encouraging me to stay still too.

I am not a person who can get pregnant. I had a Bilateral Salpingectomy. Just bc I was AFAB doesn't mean my purpose is to be a vessel for babies. I have a very fulfilling life & role in my community without being a parent. I wish everyone had access to this choice as it has many health benefits too!

Things are really dark right now, obviously. But we must hold on to joy & hope to have the energy to resist. So here's a throw back to my Symphyotrichum georgianum (GA aster) this Oct. They made me very happy and they will come back next year.

It's my 1st day on this app and I'm learning. Apparently you can't edit text(?), so I can't fix "Magic: The Gathering". I type fast and sloppily, so this account will be full of typos ::shrug::

A couple recent(ish) game nights: an original TTRPG Gabe invented, Magic the Gathering (also played a lot of Pokemon TCG with Kalyn that night), and some cozy cooperative Stardew Valley (amongst other games) during a snow storm.

Euphrati the Salvator rufescens (red tegu) during a walk in my backyard + before & after a shed. I need to get a video of Euphrati's favorite activity: climbing up and down Gavin while he tries to work.

Some Notophthalmus perstriatus (Striped newt) eggs the day before hatching.

I raise these (with permits) at the Atlanta Botanical Garden from parents collected at Tall Timbers Research Station & Land Conservancy. We release the offspring at the Jones Center at Ichauway. Learned from CPI & others.
