- Legislation or court rulings that place heavier burdens of understandability, harm restriction, and copyright licensing that push up costs for AI companies.
- An AI bubble bursts.
#AI
- An inability to scale energy resources to meet AI demand resulting in skyrocketing prices making many tasks currently handed to AI too costly.
- Consumption of AI slop results in deterioration of AI, valuable authorship disappears due to decreased opportunities for monetization.
#AI
While I don't expect AI to "stop", I think it's interesting to contemplate what would happen if something ground things to a halt...
For example:
- Successful weaponization of major AIs by rogue actors that causes massive and apparently uncontrollable damage.
#AI
Technologies which seemed unstoppable have ground to a halt before...
nuclear power (due to Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, etc.)
user behavior tracking (due to Cambridge Analytica and policies such as GDPR, CCPA)
financial industry (2008 financial crisis and resulting legislation)
#AI
thought experiment: AI hits a major roadblock and becomes impractical for the majority of use cases.
- How does industry pivot?
- How do companies differentiate themselves from the competition?
I know this seems far out but (see comments)...

In addition it uses an "electric field" which apparently encourages cells to migrate in a way that facilitates wound closure. π€

I was surprised to see that the treatment it applies for anti-inflammatory is fluoxetine (better known as prozac), thought it had to be a mistake but confirmed in other articles that fluoxetine apparently has anti-inflammatory properties.

It's interesting from an AI perspective because it uses a camera essentially embedded in a bandage to send rapidly collected images of a wound (continued over time) to an AI which evaluates the stage of the wound and how it is healing and which then has the device apply appropriate treatments.

Found this article quite interesting: news.ucsc.edu/2025β¦
27.09.2025 15:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, if it doesn't work reliably, then no matter how slick the UI and integrations it'll be too much trouble.
28.08.2025 14:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yikes. Yeah, that is no good at all. Where you using one of the Supabase client libraries or directly interacting with the API?

26.08.2025 01:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0I'd also love to hear from non-techies the same. What are the biggest pain points and what successful methods have you found in working with your technical team?
(I have my own thoughts ;-) But I really value hearing from the wider community!)

For my fellow techies - I'd love to hear from you the biggest pain points and successful methods you've found for working with non-technical leadership.

At an upcoming conference I'll be giving a lightning talk to entrepreneurial ecosystem builders on how leadership in companies can work effectively with their technical team.

We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers.
The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.
"just do it" when the option for a faster, better way seems so close at hand.
11.07.2025 14:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am a bit. I think a lot depends on how we use it. I find AI is quite good at certain limited scope activities but struggles with larger scope tasks...and I also find myself still trying to do larger scope tasks with AI (and wasting time). It's difficult to discipline oneself to

I'm sticking with ClickUp at the moment, but one of these days when I magically get a large amount of free time, I'm going to write my own solution...I've only been saying that for a few years now. ;-)
5/6: Umm, no. I want to see an actual ticket please. I don't want to have to talk to a #chatbot to see it. Chatbots really are great for a lot of things (during the free trial of ClickUp I found the chatbot quite helpful in learning how to do things without searching through docs) but this sort

3/6: The UI acts as if the change was successful but a page refresh reveals the change didn't save.
But the real reason I wanted to post wasn't about #ClickUp particularly but about #chatbots in general. They verified that my issue was an actual bug and created a ticket for it but the way I've
2/6: For example, right now I have some recurring tasks that will not allow an update to their due date manually. If I set a new date it resets back to the original date. Even more concerning is that this isn't clear from the UI.

1/6: I've been using #ClickUp for a few months now...and like every other #productivity tool I've used over the last number of years it has its pros and cons.
It's got a lot of features but sometimes pretty basic features don't "just work" - and that makes me unhappy. π
