I was told they didn't like my work.

Lost my job. Honestly can't even be mad, just disappointed.

Never seen on stage, but the movie was amazing, easily among my favorites as well.

First off, YES! second off, what? where?

Saw I posted one month ago that I feel like a mushroom person. Still there, but now I have more shit dropped on me.

It's only 3:24? Why does it feel like midnight over here? Time is a construct and stuff.

My team lead said the quiet part out loud. Called me a canary in this situation, I used "guinea pig", but, canary seems more apt. Glad it isn't just me, but annoyed that I was in the first batch. Why? I still don't even know the job and suddenly I'm given two new bosses and more things to learn?

I feel like a mushroom person.

Update. I drove the opposite way for an hour, then backtracked for 2 hours to get to a meeting that I would be late for. He isn't here yet. I got an hour more driving to do, and I have to be at work at 6:30.

I spoke too soon. They want me to travel away from home and work all weekend, even offering overtime. We'll see.

Looking forward to starting this day of work (for this job that can't seem to just let me go for the night) at 39 hours on the clock for the week. I don't want this, but rest assured, I will be taking all of this overtime.

I am confused and more than a little upset.

Ya know, I am honestly not understanding how a "single source of truth" doesn't have all the information. I am frustrated and confused.

Oh yay. Wanted something to do at work and after sitting for half a day, they give me phone calls to make. Great. I really need to tell them about my phone issues...

I'm going to be honest: current events are really getting to me. Even so, seeing people organize and plan, even if I doubt the efficacy of the plan, makes it a bit better. Buy in. Fight back. Know your enemy. Build community. Look for the helpers. Love wins.

My established phone phobia and my new job are colliding as we speak, and I'm just trying not to throw up. I hate this.

Man, I get that some bureaucracy is necessary, but it sure does make things complicated real quickly.

Love to hear THAT: first project out of training at my new job. I get started, but realize I'm missing a few things. Team lead points me to a coach for this task. He looks at what I have done so far, says "Not to be negative, but did you go through training?" 😬

I just saw the score from the super bowl. That looks brutal. I didn't watch for so many reasons, but congrats Philly. Now, as a Lions fan, I welcome the off-season with the hope that has suffused me for the past 30 years. Next season they're going all the way!

Well, I did that. My facebook account is now set for deletion. A whole lot of history, but sometimes you have to move on.
