People are probably thinking this is an awful trade for Buffalo… but Utah just signed Peterka for 5 x $7.7m which is, umm, pretty risky imo. Almost all of Peterka’s value has come from shooting per our xGAR model, which is not necessarily a good thing.

We have acquired defenseman Michael Kesselring and forward Josh Doan from the Utah Mammoth in exchange for JJ Peterka.
