Ask any horror creative, these phrases are familiar.
Horror shaped by lineage, migration, and lived experience is often treated as adjacent to the genre.
But categorization shapes archive.

The figure on the left is dressed in red traditional garb inspired by traditional Chinese wedding wear. The figure on the right is similarly dressed in a purple, gold, and orange sari, her fingers adorned with henna. Where their heads should be are two snakes, intertwined in a symbolic knot. The scene is bordered by a warm wooden frame with knotted patterns from various cultures embedded in its surface. A red Chinese knot decorated with tassels hangs from above.

I’ve been blocked by people who, as far as I’m aware, I never interacted with. And I don’t generally argue with people on Bluesky or post hot takes. But that’s fine! Not everyone has to like everyone and we can all just move on with our lives. It’s honestly really weird to demand everyone like you.

28.02.2026 03:25 — 👍 2 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0Thankfully my wife has a much more minor cases than Myrtle does and we’re lucky enough to have good insurance. But Myrtle scoliosis is worse than my wife’s. They’re super cool and always supporting others so any support they can get would be awesome 💜

My wife has scoliosis and it’s an incredibly painful condition. Please help out Myrtle if you can so they don’t have to live in pain.
(Reposting since I used the wrong pronoun)
Hope you’re feeling better <3
