A toad, sitting what appears to be calmly in an old loafer in my parents' porch, while in fact planning its next move.

A few years ago, my dad was surprised when I a small toad wandered into his porch and took up residence in one of the old shoes he liked to wear for gardening tasks.

This led to more drama than might've been anticipated.

And this morning the Shed is a flock of migrating monarch butterflies, briefly appearing over the crest of a curious mountain range…

Four pictures, the first of just a sausage dog snout poking out from blankets, tongue out as he sleeps, the next of a small dark slug on an apple sat on a garden bench, the next a wheel of flapjack in a frilly paper liner on a plate sat on a garden wall with fleabane flowering beside, the last a flapjack recipe.

🐌 Snippets from a snail slow life - His Tiny Highness happily blanket besnugged against the cold; little beasties merrily munching wind fall garden apples; the first result of attempting flapjack baked in a crockpot - an hour on high, another on low is a bit too crunchy hmm...
