One of the best people I met in the last teo years (and before XIV), was with me through several rough patches now, is and was always supportive and encouraging. always inspiring..I am very happy and grateful to found a so wonderful friend in them ♡

Chilled, the dough does keep its shape much better when baking, so it doesn't shrink or -run/turn flat- xD
Hopefully it works!

That is definitely the most basic version, you can knead it by hand but thats a lot of heavy work. I prefer to use my (non) kitchen-aid.
You need to knead until its smooth. Best results also when the dough is chilled - easier to work with.

Different flour needs more moisture/less kneading.
In the above recipe you can also add an egg/egg yolk etc for taste and a bit of moisture, pinch of salt/vanilla to enhance the flavour

A very basic pastry chef ratio for pie crusts would be 1:2:3
1 part sugar
2 parts butter
3 parts flour
works for most flour types. But that does make it sweet..I sadly don't have a savoury recipe
Knead Sugar and Butter until fluffy and nearly white- then knead in flour (in a machine in this case)
