Saw Bad Shabbos today. Dark and hilarious. Old ladies behind us seemed totally horrified by the story, which only made it funnier.

I still have a few cherished Maynard records from the 50s and 60s. That’s one I haven’t seen before.

Going to miss Chuck Mangione, one of my high school days’ idols. The Live at the Hollywood Bowl album is still one of my all time faves. Quartet and 70 piece orchestra on a double record set with a concert book in the middle. I got to be him for about 10 minutes once. I’m 16 or 17 in that pic. 1981?

Finally finished all 44 audiobook hours of Mark Twain by Ron Chernow. Next up is @danielsilvabooks.bsky.social‘s An Inside Job.

I’ve had it come where a transactional lawyer handles a deal and someone from the same firm later litigates an issue in the deal. The transactional lawyer may be a witness to intent of the documents but can’t also be at counsel table, objecting, or questioning trial witnesses.

I spent the day trying to fix broken things and just making them worse. Monday can’t scare me.
