I look at what I can learn (the lesson in the situation).

I'm still looking for a new place to live. A small apartment would be nice, or a room in a place with shared space. I have one possibility on the horizon, and it still doesn't feel like THE place. If rent is 1/3 monthly income, I'm at $750, inc. utilities. If you know of something please let me know

I forgot to post about Archie’s birthday, which was yesterday, or maybe today. I do know he’s 8 years old and still feels like my puppy.

I like it. It’s really drawing me into a world of people of color in a way that a lot of things don’t, even when there are characters of color. Of course it’s a bunch of high action adventure stories, yet everything is nuanced with the realities of being a person of color. I’m appreciating it.

I used to watch the old Equalizer program with Edward Woodward as Robert McCall. I’ve always loved “procedurals,” as one of my friends calls them. So, after watching the 3 Denzel Washington movies, which I enjoyed, I am finally trying out the most recent incarnation that stars Queen Latifah.

The enormity of what’s happening in and around LA is starting to hit me, as people and places I know are increasingly affected. My kiddos are safe and have welcomed one friend, so far, into their place.
