Albums w/e 28/12 (a lot, week off right):
- Loved the Dave record - not just for the numerous South London references.
- SMERZ is a definitely one I'd missed throughout the year. Really subtle.
- The Tubs is more vicious than you'd think.

I'm on call until 31/12. We are heroes / very silly.

I am very guilty to say I'd not even heard of the Iconocasts album until a couple of weeks ago.

* First return to the Lorde album which is more expansive than I recall.
* EOY faves in Little Simz & Lola Young (who is underscoring on the lists IMHO)

I am quite surprised at the number of people going full-on for Geese in end of year lists. I didn't realise until this weekend they were in their mid-twenties! I just don't think it's something that's AMAZING.

I loved the last Ethel Cain album, I've just not listened to the one from this year. 💀

* Oh What Fun are good covers, no doubt. Wonder how much Amazon spent on that.
* The extended version of Jade's album is immense.

* I do really like the Tate McRae album, even if I do seem to just listen to it at Aldi.

* They Are Gutting A Body Of Water is a sublime 30 min post hardcore ride.
* Rosalia is fancy. Very refined.

* New Florence was amazing.
* Wet Leg's Moisturizer AGAIN. This album really has it.

* BPM is a bop but I need to go back properly.
* Third listen to euro-country. It's amazing
* but LILY ALLEN twice this week. Such an amazing record. And you don't really understand what you're listening to on that first listen.

* New Last Dinner Party is very fun. The dark colour suits the record.
* I liked the new Tame Impala???
* The Remote Part is a classic and I had forgotten.

* Taylor. Went to the cinema as well. The album has good peaks but isn't a complete piece for me.
* Unlike CMAT.

* First time listening to the Moonchild Sanelly record from Jan, after she blew me away at EOTR.
* Proper revisit of Blood Orange's. It's such a nuanced record.

* New Lola Young. This is a perfect collection which I'm listening to as I type, and it's such a shame she's pretty much missing it's rollout.
* Proper depth listening of Little Simz & Turnstile.

Catch up, then. W/e 14 Sept:
* The Jade album is a relative masterpiece.
* The Hot Chip collection is perfect.
* Sat up drinking with a friend and we got very Taylor Swift about everything.

I agree, but then you're also back into my logic of (a) actually needing to spend the amount of money that we used to spend on news as individuals/society, and (b) stop demanding and reacting to it on a minute-by-minute basis.

We need news staff who are paid well, and have the time to do their job.

Everyone is reading what they want into the story. No matter how carefully worded the story is. Some bits are video game culture, or 4chan stuff, or have several meanings.

A message to take from this is to think about what we're amplifying, consuming & reacting to this daily information onslaught.

That's still up. But it doesn't say he *was* antifa. It says "references to"; and other reports are saying similarly.
