It arguably serves the game better that it stepped away from the town of silent hill. It was becoming predictable
We step into scary town, look here's your nurses, your pyramid head, your guns and health drinks.
It was the best silent hill we've had since 4 and beats 2 remake.

At this point I see people trying to defend homecoming as better than F and I'll be the first to say I like homecoming but it was slop.
Are we just going to ignore how the put pyramid head in just because fan service? How his presence completely ruined his lore? It was just key jingling...

People who didn't like silent hill F seem to really need to enforce how they didn't like it and how it wasn't a real silent hill game.
As a person who's played silent hill since it's inception I liked it. Something a fresh slate is good and reinventing a game is sometimes what saves it.
