Finished last years temperature blanket! I used a double stranded yarn dc stitch to represent the max and min temp each day, white htc to separate the months and white scallop border.
Time to get some other wips finished now! 🧶

Nature was out in force at the allotment, watched lots of Red Admirals enjoying the fallen plums, and then moments later I got to watch a thunderstorm in the distance. Unfortunately my photography skills weren’t enough to capture the lightning, but it was oddly peaceful to watch.

So back from holiday and the wasps nest is still buzzing away in the middle of my allotment, half of the damson tree has come down, and now I’ve bust my knee. I love a challenge but come on!

We got our allotment keys! 🥰 Day two of clearing weeds, brambles, and rubbish, was interrupted by the discovery of a rather grumpy wasps nest in an old raised bed. Got my first ever stings too. Fun times! 😂 regroup and try again tomorrow maybe.

Yes thankfully we have already had a look round - I get the impression that answering emails aren’t a priority for the council allotment manager, so each question just leads to another week or two of delays unfortunately. Meanwhile I’m checking to see if they’ve emailed me back at 10pm 😂

The worst was the email reply I had to when I asked about keys last week, which read, ‘You can start working on your allotment now…’ but still no mention of how I was getting access!

Still waiting for allotment keys. This is torture! I can feel the weeds growing whilst I’m stuck inside waiting for an email 😫
