Empathy, like outrage, is mine alone to assign not yours to police. Moral superiority is awarded not to the oppressed but to the privileged.

Iโ€™m going to say it bluntly: if youโ€™re still writing about Bidenโ€™s cognitive abilities while in office in June 2025, Iโ€™m discarding you as a blogger rather than a journalist at this point.

If the Department of Education is eliminated, states will face steep funding gaps. Arizona would see the biggest increase in education costs at 34%, while New Jersey would see around 10%. This shift would strain state budgets and impact students nationwide. #EducationMatters #FundOurSchools

a man with a beard is drinking from a cup while sitting at a table . ALT: a man with a beard is drinking from a cup while sitting at a table .

All of the so-called "patriots" who are cheering the felon's dismantling of DEI is indicative as to why it was needed in the first place.

That's right. There are people among us who never wanted women, the disabled, or people of color to have equal opportunities.

For those that donโ€™t understand this is continued ethnic cleansing and genocide.

The shock over how 47 operates underscores how many people live on autopilot, ignoring the signs that have always been there. Commuting sentences for racist insurrectionists or associating with individuals who openly perform Nazi salutes isnโ€™t new, itโ€™s consistent with who heโ€™s always been.

If 47 wants to drag us back to 1965 with advisors stuck before 1945 / 1865, letโ€™s go further to 1789 to end this oligarchy like the French, or 1776 to create a government for all, not just rich white men.

Americaโ€™s promise is progress, and we need to move past the endless cycles of regression.

Caregiver Action Network: Resources for Family Caregivers Support for No matter your role, we support YOU. Caregiver Toolbox Caregiver Help Desk Support Caregivers Partner with Us Support for No matter your role, we support YOU. Caregiver Toolbox Ca...

I wish health and happiness for all three of you. I saved this resource from a previous job; it helped a patientโ€™s mother find support and resources. Caregivers often face so much and, without outlets, can develop Caregiver Stress Syndrome. Take care of yourself and stay strong. ๐Ÿ’™

26.01.2025 14:27 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Itโ€™s okay to feel overwhelmed. Start with one small action, like taking a deep breath or writing down how you feel. Creating space for yourself, even briefly, can help. Therapy helps (itโ€™s an outlet at minimum). Youโ€™re doing more than you realize (new job!). Be kind to yourself (youโ€™re not alone).

When I felt like lashing out, I created distance and wrote a letter to express my thoughts and feelings. The person rarely listened to my side, but writing helped me release all emotions without expecting a reply or getting interrupted. It felt freeing, like pruning a dead branch from a tree.

Break everything into small actions. Focus on one step at a time, like opening a window or writing down how you feel. Let others know you need space, and take breaks to reset. Be kind to yourself. Self-care is important! It is okay to ask for support and to feel this way (you are not alone).

I understand how overwhelming this must feel. My aunt has RA and shared techniques that help her manage pain and stress the last time. She focused on what she could control: deep breathing, mindfulness, low-impact exercises like swimming or yoga with her child, and prioritizing sleep and self-care.

(7) Lean on Community: Join groups or discussions to share the load and amplify your impact.

(8) Play the Long Game: Change takes time. Small, steady actions add up. Every step counts.

I felt her advice was worth sharing, especially since so many are feeling this way after just the first week.

(4) Filter Information: Use concise newsletters or briefs to stay updated without overload.

(5) Set Boundaries: Itโ€™s okay to step back when overwhelmed (some days, staying informed is enough).

(6) Rotate Focus: Care about many causes? Focus on one at a time, like environmental policy, then shift.

25.01.2025 11:29 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 56    ๐Ÿ” 10    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 1

My mentor said the following:

(1) Set Priorities: Focus on issues that align with your values and impact your community.

(2) Pace Yourself: Limit news (15โ€“30 min), avoid doomscrolling, use trusted sources.

(3) Take Action: Choose areas where your efforts make a difference (i.e. volunteer).

โ€œTuning Out Wonโ€™t Fix It, But Burning Out Wonโ€™t Either.โ€

Shutting down or ignoring what 47 does wonโ€™t help, but protecting your mental health matters. Listen to your body and learn how to stay informed, set boundaries, and focus your energy where it count (without losing yourself along the way).

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.
