SUPER RARE - I'm walking for the Aplastic Anaemia Trust Help Joe Kirwin raise money to support The Aplastic Anaemia Trust

Having a super rare condition such as aplastic anaemia can be lonely and people affected by it often feel isolated. Walking brings people together On 28th February I shall be doing the Peak District Walk, an 8 mile walk around Ladybower Reservoir and more www.justgiving.com/page/joe-kir...

If the Government ever want win public trust again they must:
-Release ALL documents related to Mandelson, Epstein and his appointment.
-Hold a full independent investigation into his appointment and sharing sensitive information
-Pursue prosecution against Mandelson
-Abolish the House of Lords

Andy Burnham blocked from standing in by-election by Labour NEC committee - LabourList Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham has been blocked from standing as a candidate in the Gorton and Denton by-election.

What an act of self harm by Labour’s NEC. If it was their intention to make the Labour Party to look both corrupt and divided to its own supporters then it has succeeded.

Yes. And again you can argue for no change in leadership without giving up on Party democracy. (Side note - it did work for the Tories in 1992 & 2019 technically)

Or we can continue to be the Party of Government without surrendering our founding principles and values. You can disagree with Burnham’s motives, policies and the man himself but I still don’t see how carrying out the most public stitch up ever helps us

That’s still not a reason to throw Party democracy out of the window….and so publicly

Andy Burnham would be a welcome voice in Parliament for the whole of the North of England. It’s clear to many of us that progress needs to go further and faster. Any attempt to block him from the members ballot would be a scandal that would do untold damage to the Party.

Honestly, nothing is worse in the #TraitorsUK when folk keep asking β€œwhy am I still here” as if they are Poirot and not just kept around because they are not a threat to the Traitors.

The big mistake of that statement is that it was targeted at morons: at the 'never here Keir' people and the 'why not do a Love Actually?' people. Did absolutely nothing to prepare ground for 'this is what defending the High North *actually means*' or 'why we should all get password managers'.

Reform = worst of the Tory Party

Both these things can be true:
* Farage needs as many Conservatives as possible to join Reform UK to add legitimacy, add Governing experience and supplant the Tories
* Reform UK’s biggest weakness is that folk realise they are not fresh or new. They are just a Party full of ex-failed Tories.

Sums up how rubbish Badenoch is that she has been forced into a β€œYou’re dumping me? I’m dumping you!” rather than just sacking and disbarring Jenrick over the many, many things that would have kept him out of any Tory Cabinet since 1968.

Harriet just blew it up for herself. She could have played right through to the end but tried to be too clever by half and I’m not sure she even pointed the others towards the traitors #TraitorsUK

Why does everyone who has the upper hand in the #TraitorsUK seem to play their cards so early and potentially blow it?!?!

Reminder that most political journeys and policy positions held by individuals don't make much sense from an outsider's perspective, it's only when you average them all out against each other that the trends look reasonably explainable and logical.

When out walking Connie in Whitley Bay this morning another dog ran up behind me and bit me on the bum.

This has confirmed my existing view that Connie would let me burn is a fire. As she just looked up at me with a face that said β€œHey guys, what’s going on?” as I screamed in pain.

Nadhim Zahawi failed in bid for peerage from Tories before Reform defection, sources say Ex-chancellor asked Badenoch’s team for seat in Lords but was apparently rebuffed over sacking for tax affairs * UK politics live – latest updates Nadhim Zahawi was rejected for a peerage by the Conservatives just weeks before he defected to Reform UK, Tory sources have told the Guardian. The former chancellor asked Kemi Badenoch’s top team for a seat in the House of Lords but was rebuffed because he had been sacked as Tory chair in 2023 over his tax affairs. Continue reading...

This is why it is so hard to believe the Tories when they wrap themselves in the Union flag. By so many of them joining the pro-Russia Party, it is increasingly clear that they would sell the UK out for a sniff of power.

You may be right. I take a different perspective that once the partnership is over, TKO will let TNA wither away and pick up the assets when Anthem pull the plug. I don't know how much the AMC deal is worth but I have a horrible feeling this is going to be ECW and TNN all over again

My ice-cold take is that these numbers are shallow. When the partnership with the WWE ends, attendance will drop off again. Many of the long-time TNA fans who supported the company through some dark years have been driven away by the partnership, making the company more reliant on these 'casuals'.

Since becoming a father, I’ve become a real pedant about children’s books. Like why in β€˜Peace At Last’ are they using a gas lamp to go up stairs when they clearly have mains electricity?

Opposition Lords are STILL voting to water down key measures in the Employment Rights Bill - risking delaying rights like access to Sick Pay from Day 1.
The Lords must get out of the way and let the Bill pass, so we can deliver the new rights working people need.

Lucy Powell: Labour should raise gambling taxes to axe two-child benefit cap Deputy leadership candidate says party needs to be β€˜clear that our objective is to lift children out of poverty’ Labour should consider raising taxes on gambling firms to cover the cost of lifting the two-child benefit cap, the party’s deputy leadership candidate Lucy Powell has suggested. The Manchester Central MP, who is battling with the education secretary, Bridget Phillipson, to succeed Angela Rayner as Labour’s deputy leader, also acknowledged the public was β€œexasperated” because of β€œsome mistakes” Labour had made in office.
