Panel 1: Southpaw nuzzles up to a surprised Emi. Panel 2: Emi pauses and looks down hesitantly.

Panel 1: It's a clear night. Panel 2: Emi glances over while Southpaw curiously paws at another tome. Panel 3: Emi turns her attention back to the book she's reading. Panel 4: A squeak draws her attention again.

Panel 1: Southpaw wanders past Emi, a berry in her mouth. Panel 2: Southpaw runs past Emi cheerfully, up the tower stairs.

Panel 1: Emi returns to the tower. Panel 2: Emi has her hood lowered past her eyes, walking sadly. Panel 3: Emi hears a squeak from behind her.

Panel 1: Emi stands up, trying to look for Southpaw. Panel 2: Emi looks down sadly. Panel 3: Emi turns around and leaves.

Panel 1: Southpaw wanders further into the forest, continuing to munch on berries. Panel 2: Emi looks off into the distance. Panel 3: Emi looks back at the forest clearing. Panel 4: The forest clearing is empty.

Panel 1: Emi sits on the snowy ground, while Southpaw wanders around. Panel 2: Southpaw is in front of a bush, plucking a berry from it. Panel 3: Emi gives a small smile while watching Southpaw.

Panel 1: Southpaw looks up with sparkling eyes. Panel 2: Southpaw's stomach growls, and she looks down. Panel 3: Emi figures out what she wants. Panel 4: Emi and Southpaw head out of the library tower.

Panel 1: Southpaw sits on the floor, looking up at Emi. Panel 2: Southpaw rises up on her hind legs. Panel 3: Emi wonders what Southpaw is up to.

Panel: Southpaw looks up at Emi, who is confused about what she wants.

Panel 1: A page turned to a bestiary, of what seems to be the creature's species. It's lacking in information, due to the species' elusiveness. Panel 2: The girl is panicking. Panel 3: She tosses the book over her shoulder.

Panel 1: Several scattered books lie about the floor of the library. Panel 2: The girl is scanning through a book worriedly.

Panel 1: The creature is lying on the floor, with the girl looking concernedly over it. Panel 2: A shot of a bookcase in the library.

Panel 1: A shot of the space belonging to the girl. Panel 2: Same shot, but the girl is in frame. Panel 3: The girl lowers the creature to the floor.

Panel: The girl runs up the spiral staircase of the tower, carrying the creature.

Panel 1: The girl ventures into the forest, pushing a branch out of the way. Panel 2: She sees what was causing the glow, shocking her. Panel 3: A small creature is lying on the ground, its breathing shallow. Bits of snow have piled up on it, and its markings are faintly glowing. Panel 4: A wide shot of the girl and the creature, in a snowed-in clearing in the forest.

Panel 1: At the base of the library tower, the girl is seen walking out, her hood up and cloak wrapped tightly around her. Panel 2: The girl exhales, her breath visible. The night is cold. Panel 3: She looks out over the forest. A strange bluish glow is visible somewhere further in. Panel 4: The glowing light is reflected in her eye.

Panel 1: It's a snowy night outside. A light dusting of snow is visible on the trees. Panel 2: The cloaked girl is lying on a hammock. Her hood is down, and she's having problems sleeping. Panel 3: Wider shot of the cloaked girl. The hammock is laid out in front of the library's large window. Panel 4: The cloaked girl sits up and puts her glasses on. Panel 5: The girl looks out the window at the snowy night, a glum expression on her face. A few scattered books are lying around on the floor.

Panel 1: The students are leaving the library. Dialogue: 'I'm sure it was very scary meeting the ghost.' 'Hey, don't mock me.' Panel 2: The cloaked figure is watching from behind a bookshelf as the students leave the library. Panel 3: Close up of the cloaked figure - it's our stowaway from the previous pages. Panel 4: She looks down, seemingly a bit pensive.

Panel 1: The other student pokes her head into view. Dialogue: 'Hey, found the book yet?' Panel 2: The student is holding Adamant Alchemy Vol. 12 in one hand and gesturing with her other. Dialogue: 'T-the Ghost! It's right there!' Panel 3: The two students and the bookcase is visible. There is no sign of the purported ghost. Dialogue: '...Huh?!' Panel 4: A panel containing only text. Dialogue: 'What, you really saw it?' 'Y-yeah, I think it's actually real...' 'Major cool! We should come back next time and go ghost hunting!'
