DOJ seeks one-day sentence for officer in raid that killed Breonna Taylor In November, a federal jury found officer Brett Hankison guilty of violating Taylor’s civil rights during a March 2020 police raid in which she was fatally shot.

Breonna Taylor should still be here today. Her life mattered.

Trump’s DOJ has asked that an officer charged in her murder spend just one day in jail. One day. This is atrocious—it is what injustice and systemic racism looks like.
