I am thankful that the reviewer was very amenable to our limitations or responses and in sync with our thinking.

I was really excited to see the latest study from the Spang lab, (Ott DP, et al. EMBO J. 2025. PMID: 39910226 ) which made me confident about our observations as well.
ESCRT activation precedes endosome maturation and CPAP is crucial for this by recruiting TSG101.
I am thankful that the reviewer was very amenable to our limitations or responses.
06.02.2026 15:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I would like to give a shoutout to all reviewers, especially Reviewer 3. The paper came back 3 times and we did additional but very interesting experiments. By the third review, it felt amazing, surprisingly not frustrating, as it was clear we were on the same page for "further" studies.

Our key findings are:
-CPAP is anΒ ESCRT-0, in parallel to HRS, during endocytic transport.
-Recruits the ESCRT I protein, TSG101 and is essential for endosome maturation or Rab5-Rab7 conversion.
Finally, our much awaited study is out!!
Please check it out:

We are excited that CPAP/CENPJ is on the ESCRT map.
