Journalism. Ever more under threat from vested interest, lobby groups, megalomaniacal billionaires, SM keyboard warriors and legions of politicians uncomfortable with fact and truth. All strength to my professional colleagues everywhere. Resistance is fair and balanced reporting.

Iโ€™d like to have a chat about it some time. As mentioned on FB to me the brutalist of the title is not really Toth. And that rather nothing model in the film seemed more like a blank canvas than anything else. Iโ€™d also like to chat about The Fountainheadโ€ฆ

I saw The Brutalist again yesterday. I can't remember the last time I saw a film twice at the cinema, but I found it just as brilliant, if not richer and deeper... not just a movie you go and see, but as an experience of the true power and beauty of cinema as art.

With my daughter Ada at the screening of A Complete Unknown on Sydney Harbour. Magical night. The film itself? A near-miss.

"One of the great tragedies of mankind is that morality has been hijacked by religion. So now people assume that religion and morality have a necessary connection. But the basis of morality is really very simple and doesn't require religion at all."
