Iirc, Google Notes does both tags and colours for individual lists. I'd probably do it in an Excel (or similar) spreadsheet, but I'm weird like that.

Actually let me add: we like to think machines and software will be free of bias and prejudice, but that's illusory. Machines are designed by humans (yep even the so called "AI") so machines are bound to replicate that bias and prejudice, *esp* if we're unaware of said bias.

And I brought up machine-learning because I can't be sure that they're not also backed by genAI these days (like spellcheck) and I don't think, e.g., SFWA's wording is precise enough for that.

Agreed, but I don't think that's what was being said. I've used machine translation way before genAI to figure out whether a non-fiction text might have the thing I need or find further references. I'm not sure those are great cases for hired translators & doubt they're feasible for most creatives.
